Penataran Sasih Temple at Pejeng

>Environmental Pura Penataran Sasih became very popular here because there is a Nekara a very large bronze with 186.5 cm high with diameter 160 cm. Nikara bronze is actually derived from the Prehistoric era, or Pre-Hindu, who is also known by the name “Moon Pejeng” because they are considered as “Moon” that fell to earth.

Therefore, the environment is called Pura Penataran Sasih (Sasih = Month). The location is very interesting, ornaments of ‘Pejeng Moon’ shaped face mask-drafted pair with a pair of eyes that stare, the long-earings is made by money from kepeng and triangle-shaped nose. This ‘Pejeng Moon’ considered as earing of Kebo Iwa.

Location
Environmental temple is located in the middle Pejeng village at the edge of the road appears to Tampak Siring, approximately 8 km city of Gianyar the West and 27 km from the city of Denpasar. At the front of the temple environment, there are some souvenirs and traders across the road, there are also studio painter. Not far to the north in the direction of the square there are also stalls of food and beverages.
