Denpasar Festival 28-31 December 2009 To Mark Old And New Year 2010


Denpasar municipal administration will hold Denpasar Festival 2009 from December 28 to 31 to attract thousands of visitors at the end of the year-celebrations.

The annual event, formerly Gajah Mada City ceremony will take place Catur Muka Monument, Jl. Gajah Mada, Jl. Veteran and Puputan Badung Square. The mayor’s assistant I Gusti Ngurah Edy Mulia said he expects that the event was re-claim a share of the city business center in Bali. “We also changed the name of the event in honor of the citizens and allow greater public participation.”

Fry duck:
* 1 tail (900 g) duck, cut into 4 parts
* 4 tbsp vegetable oil
* 2 pieces bay
* 2 sheets orange leaves
* 1 stem Serai, memarkan

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup finely grated fresh coconut, or
desiccated coconut, moistened with warm water
2 tbsp spice paste for chicken
1½ tbsp oil
1 tbsp chopped palm sugar
Pinch of salt

HOW TO MAKE:

Combine coconut with spice paste. Heat oil in a wok or heavy sauce pan, add coconut mixture and palm sugar and sauté over low heat until the coconut turns golden brown. Allow to cool before adding salt.

Green Bean Salad with Chicken (Lawar Ayam)

Lawar would be the most stereotypical Balinese food. Anyone who has lived with a Balinese family will certainly spicy price, particularly around ceremony time.

Sambal Matah made of sliced onion, red chili sauce, salt, shrimp paste, plus suwiran with chicken or tuna, Pour orange and lemon. Hay time! It feels so warm white rice plus matah condiment enough. Tears well as cell spiciness, but it is very good at tongue. Balinese cuisine for all the characteristic taste obtained from shrimp paste, which is very typical.
