Chinese Tourist Increased 19.93% – Visited Bali Island
>Based on statistics from the Central Office of Statistics (BPS) – total of 34,539 Chinese tourists visited Bali in the first two months of 2009, or 11.35% of total foreign tourist arrivals to the island over the period.

“The number of Chinese tourists has increased by 5,740 or 19.93% over the same period last year, when 28,799 Chinese tourists visited Bali,” said head of the Bali Provincial Office of the Central Office for Statistics (BPS) Ida Komang Wisnu.
He also said that China ranks third in terms of foreign tourists visiting Bali and Japan after Australia. In total, 131,319 Chinese tourists visited Bali last year, up 55.82% over the previous year. 1,992,290 more foreign tourists visited Bali last year, an increase of 19.40% a year earlier.
