Bali Area: Prevent The Spread of Swine Flu

In Mexico, swine influenza probably killed 149 people, while 776 others were hospitalized, according to statistics from the Mexican government. The number of infections in the United States rose to 65, Canada 13, and new cases were confirmed in Israel and New Zealand.

Preventive action: Bali`s provincial authorities on the local community and all parties concerned to be vigilant to prevent swine influenza out of the island. People are invited to pay greater attention to hygiene, sanitation and the environment, particularly on pig farms. Pig is a source of income among households in Bali, especially in the islands and rural areas. In these areas, each household can be two to six pigs in pens improvised, close to the living space. Local authorities in Bali have taken steps to prevent the possible spread of the deadly flu in pigs on the island.
